Game Review: Gears of War 3

Replica Lancer FTW!

Graphics: The graphics are amazing in my personal opinion. The detail on outfits, faces, and expressions are great. Even though the terrain is very post-apocalyptic, it has a new feel to it, and it is beautiful in it's own way in places. Also, the effects of the water and blood coming on the screen, the fact that items do move when you run into them in places is great too (Like a swing set that I ran into myself)

Violent Video Games vs Violent Actions

So I was watching a documentary on a game called Super Columbine Massacre RPG! which recreates the events of the Columbine High School shooting. This games creator was a 10th grade student in Colorado at the time of the shootings and felt that this shooting changed his life because he was a bullied kid, that was a "loner" like the shooters. It hit close to home, and he felt that after finding the RPGMaker2000 he decided to make this game to try to shed light on the situation, not to encourage more shooting. On his website with the game are forums to discuss shootings, and reactions to the game. It was a way to open a discussion about things that most people were afraid to discuss.

Beating Portal 2: WARNING SPOILER ALERT

First off, if you are reading this, haven't beaten the game and intend to... STOP!! I will be talking about the ending because I found it highly amusing, and I do not want to ruin it for you <3 If you have finished it, or spoilers do not matter to you, read on friends!

So first off, the game itself was AMAZING! I loved it. I liked how it was run, as though you'd been locked away for who knows how long, and you are trying to break out with a little robotic companion, Wheatley. His a friendly robot, with a funny British accent,and is generally helpful. Well, until he has you plug him into an electrical mainframe and you accidentally wake-up GlaDos again. Yeah... No Bueno.
